If know me that well then you would know that reading often isn’t my first choice. I’m not sure why, but its generally not my thing. I think I’m realising, tho, that it is something very important that I’ve been missing. So, in the spirit of trying to better myself I picked up a book. The book on the left to be exact; Deadly Viper Character Assassins. Weird name for a book, right? Yeah, I thought so. However, considering it was free (got it at Catalyst) I thought I would check it out. I’ve only made it to the first chapter right now, but I will say that I am hooked! The book is about being people of character. As Christians we are called to a higher standard. We are supposed to be the ones for the world to look to for answers. So many times tho we are not those people, actually the opposite of that. So many times we as Christians fail to live up to the standards we are called to. I’m guilty of it, we all are guilty of it. And we always will be guilty of it to some degree. None of us are perfect. However, just because we mess up doesn’t mean that things are over. It’s not the end of the world. We should be “people of the second chance.” That means that even though people screw up, which they will, we need to come behind them and build them back up. We need to be loving. We need to be forgiving. We need to move beyond living lives focused on our screw-ups to living lives focused on our mission. What is that mission? To love those around us and truely be “people of the second chance.”A book I’ve been reading… (shocking I know)

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard.
